Character Name: Haymitch Abernathy
Series: The Hunger Games
Age: 40
From When?: Post-Hunger Games but pre-Catching Fire; he's mostly been spending the months in between in varying stages of dead drunk.

Inmate/Warden: Warden -- as much as Haymitch is going to avoid, neglect, and in all ways try NOT to do what he's here for until he finds a case he feels is worthy of his attention, he is, at heart, a Mentor. A guy desperate to right the wrongs he's done, or feels he's done, a guy haunted by his past who needs something constructive to do to distract himself from it. And once he finds that inmate he thinks will be a worthwhile "investment," he'll do his level best to get them where they need to be.  He has a knack for finding that button that needs to be pushed, for saying exactly the right thing to get the reaction he wants, for manipulating those around him to get the best (or worst) out of them.  He knows when to push, when to leave someone alone, and while he doesn't always honor that boundary line, usually he's got a reason for it.  A goal that, if turned towards helping people better themselves and rehabilitate, could prove more productive than harmful.

It won't hurt that giving him a focus, something to do, something CONSTRUCTIVE, will help him with his own issues; it's someone he'll be forced to work closely with, to bond with, and after decades of intentionally avoiding those kinds of things it'll be a help towards his own recovery.

Abilities/Powers: Pretty good at killing people...? He's competent with most of the basic weapons; knives, swords, bow and arrow, with fair accuracy with projectile weapons (it would be better, but he's drunk 99% of the time and out of practice). Mostly, though, he operates tactically, preferring to find where his advantage lies and use that, using his surroundings against his enemies or exploiting their weaknesses, and he's pretty good thinking on his feet.
